Poker Update....
So i've been playing at BooyaPoker where i have like $40 bucks not a cent of which i deposited (won it all).... and have played 9 headsup...SNG's from $3 to $10 and won 7 of them...that would mean that i would have built up my bankroll a bit..but i pisssed away what i won at 9 man Sngs' at the $5 and $10 level, the majority of which i went out on the bubble. Am still cooling off from my crappy play and poor bankroll management at Full Tilt...and am going to wait a while before i deposit any more money. So thats about it...CU

Jim Rogers In London (Courtesy Bloomberg)
Here's a talk by Jim Rogers, co- founder of the Quantum Fund with George Soros. After chalking up returns in excess of 3000% at the fund, Rogers decided to retire. He also founded to Rogers International Commodity Index and wrote the book, "Hot Commodities: How Anyone Can Invest Profitably in the World's Best Market, Hot Commodities: How Anyone Can Invest Profitably in the World's Best Market" Hot Commodities: How Anyone Can Invest Profitably in the World's Best Market." A synopsis of the lecture includes Rogers extolling the benefits of investing in commodities due to the boom in the economies of China and India.

And here is an article (Courtesy The Telegraph) where Jim Rogers says, "Agricultural commodities are the next hot investment." Read on... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2006/12/13/cncommod13.xml
Needless to say, i like and admire the guy and pay a lot of attention to him.

In need of a Poker Mentor
So...it finally happened...i ran through my initial $75 deposit at full tilt...it lasted around 6 months...and at one point i was at $240 but things just did not work out. I could be because i was playing at way higher limits than my bankroll allowed for, but i thought i was reading and doing quite well at the .50-1 level. So the main reason for this entry is to inspire some budding online poker professional to take me on as a pupil. I have been playing for 6 months...now....and learn very quickly. i only recently switched to cash games..sicne i was a $1-5 sng player before that and was a breakeevn player there...and very recently have been crushing the $2 sng with 9 players. i do not know how many people read this blog...probably not very many..but here's hoping that one of you...who do..will take me under thier wing.
